Anita Sarkeesian is a Canadian-American feminist media critic as well as a public speaker. She has been interested in the gender issue and feminist movements since a early age. When she graduated in 2009, still studying at university she launched her Feminist Frequency site. The ebullient young woman was targeted by the Internet for starting a web series on gender in videogames. The attack did not stop her, but instead strengthened her resolve as an activist for women in media.
